Background:
Applegarth Junior School caters for about 200 pupils between the ages of seven and 11. It shares a green-field site with the infant school, has an ICT suite, large classrooms, a sports fields and a wildlife pond. There is also a music room and a recently refurbished library. The school encourages participation in after-school sports clubs, promoting fitness and teamwork. These include rugby, cricket, netball, athletics, rounders, chess, hockey, football, art, dance, recorders, construction, choir and drama. Applegarth Junior School promotes self-worth and mutual respect for all members of the school community.
