Background:
St Cyprian's school is the first Greek Orthodox Voluntary Aided Primary School in Great Britain and is under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain. It was opened in September 2000 to serve the families of the six parishes of St Nectarios (Tooting), St Constantine and St Helen (Crystal Palace), St Mary's Cathedral (Camberwell), Christ the Saviour (Woolwich), St George's (Kingston) and St Basil and St Raphael, Nicholas and Irene (Sutton), other Christian Orthodox Churches and other Christian Churches in the area. The school is continually expanding and will ultimately accommodate up to 420 pupils with a two form structure. As a co-educational school, the school offers educational provision for children aged three to 11 years old.
