Background:
Thomas Becket Roman Catholic School was built in the 1970s, but all classrooms have since been refurbished. The school has close links with the local community, in particular the parish of Our Lady of the Annunciation in Addiscombe. Religious education is identified as a central part of the curriculum in order to foster and deepen the children's faith. Worship also strengthns links with parents as they are welcome to attend the school's masses, class assemblies and special liturgical celebrations. Clergy regularly visit the school. The School Association raises money for the school and for charities. French, sports, choir and music are available as extra-curricular activities.
