Bullers Wood School was founded in 1940 on its present site, in 22 acres of woodland with extensive landscaped grounds. The school is in listed buildings, with several new buildings housing science, technology, sport, music and drama. New information and communication technology suites provide all departments with access to ICT. Extra-curricular activities are available to all pupils, from sports to debating. The school has Specialist Language College Status, Beacon Status, Schools Curriculum Award (2002), Artsmark Gold (2002), Investor in People Status and DfES Achievement Award.
