Background:
Cherry Lane was opened as a primary school in January 1999 as a result of the amalgamation of the previously separate infant and junior schools. The school offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities including athletics, netball, choir, computer, recorders, ball skills and football. Clubs are usually targeted at a particular age group and take place at lunchtime or after-school. There is a Parent Teacher Association that organises a number of fundraising events throughout the year. The school aims to provide a happy and caring environment where all can work to the best of their ability.
