Background:
Crown Woods is at an exciting phase in its development with a clear focus on raising standards in an ordered and disciplined environment. There are 16 computer suites across the school each with 10 to 20 work stations, many with a digital projector. Drama has three specialist studios, and art four studios and a dark room for photography. Physical education has five gyms, including one equipped for dance lessons, and design technology has 14 specialist work shops. The library exists to support the curricular and pastoral aims of the school in its teaching, learning and research facilities. The school aims to provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities and a charge may be made for any extra-curricular activities. The sports hall of five gymnasia provides facilities for most indoor sports including basketball, dance, gymnastics, aerobics and trampolining.
