Background:

Since 1932, Feltham Hill Junior School has provided a 'bright, well-resourced and comfortable' environment, in a recently redecorated and refurbished two-storey building. Facilities include a 'well stocked' library, 'large' hall, 'spacious' playgrounds, 'superb large playing fields' and a computer in every classroom. The pupils 'take great pride in their final work' and 'love reading'. Children can choose to learn a variety of musical instruments in individual lessons and can be part of the Feltham Schools Music Association, bringing together local school choirs twice a year for a carol concert and a music festival. The school has an 'excellent record' in physical education and has 'enjoyed many successes' in athletics and football in competitions in the Feltham area. Special educational needs are dealt with in a 'caring environment', with an individualised extra learning programme provided. The school is also keen to identify exceptionally able pupils. It is hoped that new children will feel 'confident, secure and happy' and develop 'self-respect and dignity' if their individual needs are recognised.
