Background:
Grey Court School provides an ideal environment for students with a range of specialist teaching facilities. Information and communication technology provision includes specialist suites, zoned wireless provision across the school and extensive use of interactive whiteboards. Newman House, and 18th century building provides and excellent space for personalized and small group programmers. The sports hall and gym facilities are complemented by extensive grounds and courts, enabling students to engage in a wide range of physical education and sporting activities. The school was awarded specialist status for science, mathematics and computing in September 2003 and Artsmark in 2006. Grey court offers a study support programme the aim of which is to drive forward a rich and diverse curriculum for the 21st century. The programme encourages independent study across the curriculum and is offered through homework clubs, extra support during lunch-times, before and after-school, access to ICT facilities, Saturday clubs, visits by specialists, workshops and training in post 16 education centers. Proud of its tradition of offering students a full programme of visits and trips, Grey Court School ensures that all students take part in a number of field trips and museum visits to enhance the curriculum.
