Background:

Grove Primary School is situated in the north-east of the London Borough of Redbridge in a very pleasant situation. The school has grounds extending to some 3.31 acres containing playground, a grassed area, an adventure playground and a sports field. The school is housed in a single story building with 14 classrooms. The school aims to promote an awareness of the ethnic diversity of pupils and to foster positive relationships in all. It believes that teachers should inspire confidence in learning with a sound knowledge of the subject and the child's stage of development. The school'seeks to provide as many and varied after-school activities as is possible. It has a very successful parents association whose role is to raise funds for the school. In general, it tries to provide a mixture of sporting and non-sporting clubs and to suit a variety of age ranges. At Grove Primary School, it believes that children have the right to feel valued and respected. In order to maintain an environment conducive to learning the children and parents will be involved in developing clear expectations and boundaries through the school.
