Background:

Longmead is community primary school, which caters for children between the ages of three to 11. The school currently admits one-form of entry but has room for expansion. The children are generally taught within a mixed ability classes and occasionally within mixed age classes. It provides a carefully planned and structured teaching programme that takes full account of the rquirements of the national curriculum. PE and swimming are part of national curriculum. The school aims to make the school a place where everyone feels welcome, safe, valued and able to succeed, regardless of background, race, colour, creed, culture, ability or disability. It has policies and rules in place to promote equality and inclusion. The whole school community is expected to abide by these policies.
