Background:

Adamsrill is a popular school and therefore its classes are nearly always full. At Adamsrill it takes its statutory responsibility seriously and have successfully delivered the national curriculum. The school feels that music is a vital part of the curriculum. It helps to develop coordination, co-operation, inventiveness and appreciation of the wide spectrum of musical expression throughout its world. ICT has now been designated a core curriculum subject. The school places great importance on the development of physical skills and fitness and this subject is taught throughout the school. Children go swimming in Years 3 and 4. The school regularly support Crisis at Christmas, Shelter, the RNLI and the Poppy Appeal and, occasionally, one or two other chosen charities such as St Christopher's Hospice, the RSPCA or the NSPCC. It particularly encourages children to do small scale fundraising which they organise themselves. The school'strives to offer a fair deal to all the children at Adamsrill and do its best to ensure that everyone feels valued and a part of the school community.
