Coppetts Wood School is a community primary school with a nursery class and a language unit for children with speech and communication disorders and delays. The school building, which was built in 1953, is spacious, bright and well maintained. Its is set in pleasant grounds, which include a large playing field, an adventure playground area, an environmental area, a garden and a playground. In addition to its well resourced classrooms it has a computer suite with all the latest technology for whole class teaching, a large school hall, a well stocked library and a community room, which is used for a variety of activities by parents and children. The high quality curriculum offered within the school is enriched by educational visits to a wide range of places and special events, which extend enliven children's learning opportunities. The school aims to provide a safe and welcoming environment where everyone is valued and where it has high aspirations for every child's successful personal and social development coupled with academic, sporting and artistic achievements.
