Opened in 1939; several extensions, including science and technology facility; two-form entry school, without a nursery; classes to Year 7, but some children transfer to out-of-borough secondary schools at the end of Year 6. French taught from Year 4. School involved in local cluster sports initiatives; increasingly successful in local competitions; swimming taught in Year 4. Strong links with local high school.
