Background:

The school is situated in Richmond on the borders with Hounslow. The main building houses nine classrooms, resource area, large hall with magnificent stage, separate junior dining hall, large library, ICT room, medical room and school offices. The large corridors are used as further display and work areas. External buildings include four classrooms and a drama workshop. The school has a large playing field and netball court. The school'site also contains many shrubs, trees, flowerbeds, lawns and wildlife area and provides an unusually pleasant environment. It has recently installed play equipment and has divided the playground into areas for different activities. A wide range of organised games are taught in school. The school competes regularly in borough competitions for football, netball, swimming and athletics. All year groups go swimming for approximately half a term each year. Children in their last two years of school may take part in residential visits. The school has created a drama room, and a well-lit stage area for productions. Children are also made familiar with a range of performance arts. The school aims to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment to motivate all children to develop fully academically and socially and to be rigorous in the encouragement of this development.
