Background:
Old field Primary School is set in a residential area between Old field Lane North and Green ford Road, north of A40 and the Green ford flyover in London. The school has excellent accommodation facilities. There have been extensive improvements to the school's playground areas, and in the summer term large grassy areas provide additional space for games and sports. One of the school's three fields is used nearly all the year round for football clubs and inter-school matches, and there is a conservation area and a pond in front of the building. There are currently 10 classes and a part-time nursery unit, including six new classrooms have interactive whiteboards. The music room has a large selection of percussion instruments, and is in daily use for lessons taught by a specialist music teacher. The school endeavours to maintain a happy and friendly atmosphere at all times, fostering a caring attitude among children for the well being of others.
