Background:
Princes Plain Primary School is a co-educational primary school that caters for pupils aged between three and 11 years. Situated centrally in the London Borough of Bromley, the site is surrounded by fields, allotments and a Church. The building is spacious. There are two libraries, a large gymnasium, a sports field and a large hall that doubles as a dining-hall. A purpose-built nursery class was added in 1997 and a new information and communication technology suite was opened in September 2002. Extra-curricular activities are an important feature of the school. These include athletics, football, hockey, choir, recorders and steel band. Princes Plain has an active parents' association and all parents are automatically members as soon as their child enters school. Fundraising events are held frequently. The aim of the school is that every child shall reach his/her potential in a happy, caring and stimulating environment.
