Background:
Richard Atkins has recently updated all of the school's older computers. There are now computers in each class and other computers are set up with specialised programs for use in any classroom. Music is very much an integral part of the school's curriculum. It has a part-time music teacher who works regularly with the juniors in preparing them for performances in small and large groups. Children have the opportunity to learn the recorder and some also learn guitar and percussion instruments. Physical education is an important part of the school timetable and is not an optional part school life. Children, regardless of physical skills and abilities should experience a variety of physical activities. PE covers gymnastics, dance, games, basic athletic skills and swimming. It creates a caring, safe, but stimulating environment, where every child feels valued as an individual.
