Background:
Woodridge is a one-form entry primary school. There are three infant classes and four junior classes, in which children are placed according to their age group. Each class is taught by a class teacher with help from part-time support teachers. The maximum number in any one class is 30, as directed by the London Borough of Barnet. The school is situated in a residential area on the borders of Woodside Park and Totteridge, hence its name. It was built in 1967, with classrooms designed around a central courtyard to give maximum light and space on all sides. Extra-curricular activities include a French club, netball, two football clubs and several chess clubs.
