Background:

School records date back sixty years to the Dunraven (LCC SM) School situated in Adare Walk. Dunraven School is now located on two adjacent sites-the lower school in Mount Nod Road and the upper school campus in Leigham Court Road. The move to the former Philippa Fawcett College site has enabled the school to develop excellent facilities for each subject department. There are eight modern advanced level science laboratories, a technology suite, a fully equipped dance/drama theatre, a music suite with a recital room and an art suite. It has a business education centre, an excellent computer network linked across both sites and to the Internet, excellent workshop and food technology facilities, two gymnasia and two libraries and a modern languages suite. The extensive grounds provide pleasant seating areas for break and lunch time, together with playgrounds, tennis and game areas. A new state of the art sixth form block was opened in 2003, including a 50 station learn centre. The school provides before and after-school activities. It provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities including: art, badminton, chess, choir, dance, drama, football, volley ball and orchestra. The school aims to help all young people increase their knowledge, skills and abilities to the highest possible level, encapsulated by the school aim of excellence for all.
