Background:
Chace Community School is a mixed 11-19 comprehensive school, situated on a nine-acre single site in central Enfield. The school has a well established and flourishing sixth form. It has specialist rooms in all areas of the curriculum. These include art, science, technology and ICT facilities, a drama studio, a gymnasium, a large sports hall and learning resources centre. There are on-site playing fields and netball and tennis courts. Students are encouraged to take an active part in all aspects of school life. Many extra-curricular activities, homework clubs and summer schools support and enhance learning. A range of sporting opportunities is available for students at lunchtime and after-school sessions with organised competitive tournaments and games. Academic trips to theatres, galleries and museums are a regular feature of the school, including field studies, skiing trips and visits to France. The school is committed to build an inviting, purposeful and successful learning community.
