Background:

Cranmer School started life in 1909 as a girls' grammar school. Since then it has been through several changes, firstly to a middle school and in 2003 to a primary school. This school is set in seven acres of playing fields and grounds. They serve a multi ethnic urban community which enriches and contributes to a lively and successful school. The last Ofsted report particularly praised the leadership describing it as outstanding. This school places a particular emphasis on performance with all children being opportunities to work with dancers, actors, poets and visual artists. This school have been awarded Investors in people. In this school timings are set up according to breakfast club, late club and out-of-hours club. Friendly, cooperative, with emphasis on high expectations.
