Background:

Dunningford Primary School was built in 1955 and is situated on the south-west boundary of the London Borough of Havering, where it borders with Barking and Dagenham. The school'serves a combination of privately owned and rented accommodation. The two buildings on the site were originally separate infant and junior schools. In 1985 the schools amalgamated to become a primary school. The school invites a variety of agencies which help serve their pupils and parents. These include; learning freeway and confident parenting courses and a variety of out of hours clubs. The school'serves the community by always seeking opportunities to involve parents, local business and other schools. The school has a welcoming ethos. Visitors are made to feel at ease and all children are encouraged to make a valuable contribution to school life.
