Background:
Green Lane Primary School was built in 1949 and officially opened in 1950. The school has extensive adjacent playing fields. There are 11 classrooms, a spacious hall, three separate playgrounds and a double mobile classroom unit, used by its after-school care. In September 1999 the school added a new information and communication technology suite with 17 state-of'the-art computers, networked throughout the school to its nine class personal computers. It has developed its own library resource into a lending library based in a former classroom. The school offers many clubs which includes gardening, line dancing, drama, tennis, Fulham football club, chess, tae kwondo, and an after-school childcare club. The school's mission is to provide a safe and stimulating environment where everyone can work together to reach their full potential, growing in knowledge and understanding of themselves, others and the wider world.
