Background:
Kender School was established in 1883. In recent years there have been several extentions and refurbishments. The school now has large classrooms and playground areas as well as the use of a wildlife garden in the neighbourhood. The curriculum is broad and has over the past few years yeilded some very good results, especially in KS2. Kender has a conscientious approach and encourages support and involvement from parents. Christianity is the central religion studied, due to its prevalence in UK history, however to reflect the diverse world in which we now live all major religions are looked at, forming notions of respect and understanding in the pupils.
