Central Foundation Boys' School is a small voluntary-aided comprehensive founded 140 years ago. There are two art rooms, two music rooms, three computing suites, two drama studios, a business studies suite, graphics room and specialist workshop for design technology and food technology. Science teaching takes place in eight well-equipped laboratories. Many classrooms have ICT facilities. The school has a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as basketball, cricket, martial arts, football, ICT/internet club, fitness, table tennis, wildlife, fishing and robotics. Homework clubs and revision classes are also offered. The school aims to enable every child to reach his or her potential in a caring and supportive environment.
