Background:
In 1855, when Hampstead was a small village popular with artistic and literary society and set in fields to the north of London, a small church school was opened to provide education for the children in the parish of Christ Church, housed in an attractive stone building nestling in the shadow of the church. The school intend to provide every child with the opportunity to develop their full potential. It therefore opposes all forms of discrimination based on ethnicity, culture, gender, religion or ability.
