Background:

Convent of Jesus and Mary Language College founded in 1888. It is a famous Language College since 1988, offering French, Spanish and Italian in the main curriculum and Arabic, Portuguese and Polish in the extra-curricular provision. The school provides musical activities to enhance the learning of the pupils including piano, clarinet, flute, violin, trumpet, oboe, cello, guitar and drums. The school encourages girls to get involved in additional activities such as aerobics, judo, cricket, rugby and self-defense. The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme also provides access to a variety of sporting activities including cross-country, running, rock climbing and horse riding. The range of sports offered at the school includes gymnastics, trampolining, dance, netball, basketball, rounders, tennis, athletics, football, cheerleading and volleyball.
