Background:
Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Junior School was opened as a one form entry junior in January 1967, but was re-organized in September 1972 as a two-form entry junior School with pupils aged seven to 11. The pupils are arranged in eight classes of mixed ability according to age. It is a voluntary aided Catholic School belonging to the Diocese of Westminster, which, through the Diocesan Education Commission, is responsible for the appointment of the foundation governors. The school is able to offer instrumental tuition ' currently recorders, violins, and brass. The school also has extra-curricular training in football, tennis and gymnastics. It enters teams in all Brent competitions performing to a high standard in football, netball, athletics, swimming, gymnastics, tennis, cricket and rugby. The school aims to create a learning environment in which all children can reach their full potential and where pupils have the opportunity to achieve high academic standards.
