Background:
Saint Cecilia's Wandsworth Church of England School is a co-educational voluntary aided comprehensive school for pupil aged 11 to 18 years in the Diocese of Southwark. Its Anglican foundation is reflected in the composition of its governing body. Each school day includes a corporate act of Christian worship and regular celebrations of Holy Communion are held. Each pupil is provided with a laptop computer, which is wirelessly linked to the school's network, enabling easy access to shared recourses, the internet and e-mail facilities. Along with two playgrounds, the site has a social play area surrounded by trees and two habitat areas within the building complex to provide some landscaping relief. The school has a Chapel for the use of pupils and staff, both for voluntary services and private prayer and reflection. The school promotes the pursuit of excellence for all its pupils within a caring and supportive environment underpinned by Christian values.
