Background:

Founded in 1892, St Agnes's Roman Catholic School moved to its current Cricklewood site on the southern boundary of Barnet 100 years later. A high proportion of pupils come from second generation Irish families, with many others from international Roman Catholic backgrounds. Staff aim to educate all pupils to deepen their faith, enhance their moral and spiritual values, and to promote skills and academic knowledge. Teachers also encourage pupils to respect other religious traditions. The staff support a range of extra-curricular musical, sporting and language activities. The strong tradition of Irish dancing is encouraged. The school is proud of its sporting record, having won the Small Schools' Football League. There is also a school trip in the summer term for Year 6 pupils. The school has won a number of local environmental competitions. The school is also involved in supporting various charities.
