Background:
St Anne's CofE Primary School has been serving the local community since 1859. The school is a Church of England school and has strong links with St Anne's Church. There is an annual school journey for the children which is normally a five day residential visit to a centre in the UK. The purpose of this is to both support the curriculum and to provide an opportunity for personal and social development. Various extra-curricular activities are offered including French, cricket, football, art, information and communications technology (ICT) and gardening. St Anne's was named as one of the most successful 300 schools in the country by Ofsted.
