Background:
The origins of the school lie in 1840, 16 years after the opening of the church of St Elizabeth of Portugal in Richmond. Over-subscribed, with more than two applications per place; priority is given to local practising Catholics. The school has league teams in football, netball, swimming, athletics and chess. After-school care, until 6pm. More than £5,000 was raised for charity in 2003-2004. Healthy Schools award (2006).
