Background:
The school is a Church of England voluntary aided primary school. The infant and junior schools are one-storey buildings around a central paved area, which gives them space for games, a climbing structure and a tree-shaded garden area. There are seven classrooms with just 30 children in each, a well-stocked library, a modern computer suite and a hall that is use for assemblies, performances, gymnastics and lunch. There are close links between the school and St John's Parish church with Parish and Diocesan representatives on the governing body. The school aims to educate pupils intellectually, socially, morally, physically and spiritually; In addition the school aims to instil in pupils a sense of decency, commitment, self-reliance, responsibility, respect for others and healthy self-esteem.
