Background:
Situated in the diocese of Chelmsford, this Church of England School provides education based on Christian values. It shares its premises with St Lukes Church, with which it maintains strong links and Sunday services are held in the school hall. They will also share the new premises which are currently under construction. It aims to be a school where 'Christian teaching, worship and values establish an ethos of co-operation and care, where everyone is willing to listen and where everyone expects the same high standard of common courtesy'. The standard class size is 30. Parents are seen as partners and are welcome to help in class. There are also 'curriculum events' each year which gives parents an opportunity to have a go at learning with their child. Extra-curricular activities include netball, cricket, football, dance, and drama, there is also a lunchtime games club and infant book club.
