Background:

One-form entry, with seven classes from reception to Year 6, in pleasant residential area on edge of Epping Forest. Building dates from 1934 and shares site with the parish church; in addition to seven classrooms, facilities include a small library, a medical room, a science/mathematics resource room, a gymnasium/school hall with a stage. Worship plays an active part of school life, with regular masses and daily prayers. Pupils can participate in extra-curricular activities run by teaching staff and external agencies; they include French and Spanish tuition, music, chess, football, netball, computer, cross-country, athletics, and dance. Benefited from borough-wide school sports' coordination coaching programme: tennis courses, football skills, cricket skills, rugby, tri-golf; regular success in annual swimming galas; also teams in cross-country competitions and athletic tournaments. Annual charity fundraising: 'By organising their own campaigns, the children develop and deepen their own personal reaction to the needs of others less fortunate than themselves.'
