Background:
Saint Raphael Roman Catholic Primary School is part of a network of schools which are owned by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster and which work in partnership with the Department for Education and the LEA, the London Borough of Ealing. At all levels, children are introduced to a variety of laboratory equipment through practical experimentation and investigations. This extends their skills and develops their investigational expertise and confidence. The school has a suite of networked computers, situated next to library, which enables teachers from both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 to take whole class lessons. In addition to this, each class has at least one PC with Internet access to support daily cross-curricular work. The school offers a range of extra-curricular activities, including drama, netball, football, guitar, art, choir, IT and Spanish.
