Chingford C of E Voluntary Controlled Junior School is situated in a pleasant residentialarea and serves a socially diverse community. It aims to create in school a safe and secure environment, which is happy and welcoming. Music involves listening and appreciating, as well as making music. Physical education includes games, gymnastics, athletics, dance and swimming. At various times during the year it provides coaching in sports such as hockey, football and cricket. Children who join these clubs have the prospect of taking part in further special activities, such as all day dance workshops, or representing the school in a sports team. Teams of children regularly take part in leagues and tournaments in football, cricket, hockey, netball, athletics, swimming and chess.
