Background:
Valley Primary School originally opened in 1889. The present building dates from 1891 and occupies a 12 acre site which includes playing fields, playgrounds and its own conservation area complete with a pond used for science and geography. The school has eight classrooms, a sports hall, a music and drama hall, two libraries, a kitchen, a computer suite and an on-site bookshop. Professional coaches are employed for the pupils' tennis, football, hockey and cricket tuition. The school also has links with Crystal Palace Football Club who provide pupils with coaching and club activities. Pupils support many charities throughout the year.
