Background:
The main building was erected in 1958 with an additional block being built in 1974. Current facilities include an assembly hall, a large gymnasium with changing rooms, six science laboratories, four language rooms, an ICT centre comprising three rooms, 100 station network, two home economics rooms, two art and craft rooms, purpose-built music suite with teaching rooms and practice rooms as well as a drama workshop, careers centre and fitness centre. The school has a large playing field and offers a variety of sports. The school aims to provide a purposeful, caring and friendly environment, in which its pupils feel valued as individuals and learn to be considerate of, and tolerant towards other people.
