Background:
Enfield Grammar School opened in 1558. The school offers extra-curricular clubs, including breakfast club, debating club, geography club, homework club, information and communication technology (ICT) club, Jiu Jitsu club and photography club. There are music rehearsals for a variety of individuals, groups, bands, orchestras and choirs every night of the week. All musicians are encouraged to perform at concerts. The school provides specialist areas for the sciences and art as well as three dedicated computer rooms and a library. The main school hall hoists dramatic and musical events, as well as daily assemblies. The school has outdoor sporting facilities to support a wide range of team games including football, rugby, cricket, athletics and tennis. The school has a thriving, well-resourced music department, offering numerous opportunities for all pupils. These include jazz bands, rock groups, orchestra, string quartet, four choirs, samba club, concert band and many more. The school aims to provide a secure and effective learning environment supported by an emphasis on traditional values of courtesy, service and commitment.
