Background:
An 'attractive' site in the inner city to the west of Central London, Fulham Cross is a socially, culturally and linguistically mixed environment with pupils coming from many different backgrounds. There is a 'very strong' support system for the pupils and target setting for each individual student, which is constantly monitored and evaluated twice a year. There is an 'Emphasis on the individual child and her educational progress'. In 1995 the school embarked on the Member of the Able Student Project (MASP). Since 1997 all subjects have developed extension work within the timetabled day and in extension classes after school for pupils of marked aptitude. The school runs successful personal, social, health education and careers programmes. A range of sports are available and the school has a well-equipped gymnasium.
