Background:
Islington Arts and Media School was opened in September 1999 as a Government 'Fresh Start' school. Since its opening over six million pounds has been spent on the refurbishment of buildings and premises including new facilities for science, technology, dance, drama and physical education. The school has additional facilities for modern languages, minority languages, history, information and communication technology (ICT) and homework clubs. The school aims to provide a well-ordered stimulating and supportive learning environment and promote a sense of social, moral and environmental responsibility.
