Background:

Dates from 1883, when a school was founded and accommodation was provided in a building in Fairfax Road. In 1963, the Archdiocese of Westminster purchased the present, spacious building and renovations were carried out to suit the needs of primary age children. The school has recently extended the main building to include a new ICT room for use by all pupils, improved the entrance hall with disabled access, moved and revamped the reception area, modernised the reception class with own outdoor play area, installed a new library and part-time school librarian teacher, re-painted the dining room, provided a new and modernised staff room provided new special educational needs and deputy headteacher's rooms installed five interactive white boards with three more coming soon. A separate kindergarten provides pre-school education for 20 children each morning during term time. Accommodation is within the main school building and, as the kindergarten is self-financing, fees are charged.
