Background:

Shaftesbury Park Primary School is in Battersea. The school has classes on all three floors of the building. Each unit of the school consists of four classes working together. The classrooms of each unit are geographically linked to allow free movement between them as and when is necessary. Children learn about religion and take part in daily collective worship. The children learn ball skills and engage in gymnastics, movement, drama, and singing activities. The school aims to have football, netball and rounders teams each year who can engage in competition against other local schools. Extra-curricular activities offered include gymnastics, art, French, badminton, chess, instrumental, music tuition, choir, team games and practice sessions for participation in inter-school competition.
