Background:

Grantor School was built in 1928 and began a seven years expansion programme in September 1998. The school is a well-resourced school that has at least one computer in every classroom as well as children having access to the internet. A special feature of the school is the large playing field, which includes a conservation area, which has become an integral learning resource. There is also a climbing frame for the children at playtimes, which was funded by the PTA. The school has a computer suite that has the integrated learning system to raise literacy and attainment throughout the school. The school provides a happy and secure atmosphere where children can reach their potential, intellectually, physically and socially.
