Background:

Liberty School is a 3-11 Primary School serving the Mitcham and Colliers Wood area of the Borough of Merton. Liberty is a distinctive place owing to the strong ethos of childcare and goodwill that exists between children, parents, staff and the community. Each classroom has its own computer connected to the internet, whiteboard, carpet corner, class library, curtains and is newly decorated. Its aim to teach its children the skills necessary to help them to develop into independent readers, who can and do read at different levels for different purposes. Sport at Liberty is aimed to be enjoyable, yet challenging, allowing each child to develop a positive attitude towards exercise. Liberty has marvellous facilities for every aspect of school life. The sports fields are excellent and are well maintained by its own staff. Netball courts and hockey areas are used alongside the gymnasium.
