Background:
Selhurst High School for Boys admits boys aged 11 to 16 years of all abilities and backgrounds. Facilities include new science laboratories, a suite of three information and communication technology (ICT) rooms, a newly equipped library, and a pupil common room for recreational activities. The school is part of the excellence in cities programme which aims to develop able and gifted pupils and to give additional learning support in the school. The school is a member of the Project Trident scheme and all pupils take part in two weeks of work experience at the end of Year 10. The school offers a range of dramatic and musical opportunities including performing in concerts and plays. There are on-site playing fields and an all-weather football pitch as well as badminton courts, six basketball rings and table tennis tables.
