Selwyn is a warm, friendly school where children feel happy and secure. This school provides a broad and balanced range of educational experiences, enabling all children the opportunity to access their full entitlement to the curriculum and to achieve their full potential. The school curriculum aims to provide a broad, balanced education for all pupils. It has recently installed a new computer suite with 17 computers. It recognises that ICT plays an increasingly important role in many areas of life, and aim to build on children's varied experience and knowledge of computers and other technology. The principle aim of religion education is to help the children achieve a knowledge and understanding of religious experience, belief and practice. Music plays a very important role in the life of Selwyn Junior School children. They have many opportunities to take part in musical activities at lunchtimes and after-school as well as during lesson time. At Selwyn Junior School it provides a wide award winning range of after-school and lunchtime activities such as choir, recorder club, football club, netball and cartoon club. Selwyn Junior School creates a positive, stimulating, learning environment where all children are self-motivated and independent learners.
