Background:
Sheen Mount Primary School was opened in 1954 on the site of what was Sheen Mount House. It is near Sheen Common and Richmond Park. Facilities include a playing field, an orchard pond and an outdoor heated swimming pool. There is also a library and a purpose-built music room. The school has a networked computer suite containing 15 computers with internet access, and also a computer in each classroom. The school has won honours in both chess and football. Pupils go on three school trips during their time at Sheen Mount.
