Background:
The junior school was opened in 1927 on the present site in 'pleasant and spacious' grounds. When new premises were built in 1990, the infant school joined the junior school. Children are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities such as sports, choir, stamp collecting, French club and recorder. The school won the football league and cup in recent years and pupils are looking forward to a new rugby club at the school. An environmental area has been developed within the school grounds in recent years.
